Fingerprint Maze

I created a 3D Maze in Unity as a portrait of a classmate Bo Kim.  I took her fingerprints then scanned them at a very high dpi.  I then took that into Rhino and outlined all of the positive areas to create a vector outline created entirely of closed curves.  With a quick extrusion and adding a floor with outer walls, my 3D model was ready to go.

I then put it into Unity where I used a FPS controller to allow player to move through her fingerprint.  I wanted a more organic feeling so I added a vert shader to make the walls bend a bit more and curve.  I decided to go with simple black and white gradients to reference back to the original ink that I got her fingerprints with.  With enough time spent in the maze, players eventually begin to learn the pattern of her fingerprint.
