Hybrid iPhone Violin
iPhone Violin is a hybrid instrument prototype that can be fairly easily carried around to make music anywhere. Although phones have been utilized for listening to music, they are less often used for creating it. I created a 3D printed iPhone case that has a tiny violin bow on the back with a small case on the top of the phone for the electronics like the battery and custom
pre-amp. A wire runs from the electronics case to the middle of the bow which connects the pre-amp to the piezo. This sound could then be recorded and looped through Pd patches and the program MobMuPlat.
